GameStop said that the Nintendo Switch could become a game-changer for the gaming console market. Bethesda also praised the upcoming Nintendo console for its unique gameplay.
CEO Paul Raines said that he played the upcoming Nintendo console and he was impressed with it, Gamespot quoted him as saying during an earning briefing recently. He believes it can become a game-changer for those who love console gaming and for those who make them. He believes that it will expand the audience for gaming by introducing this new console.
The management of the popular retail gaming shop revealed that the early metrics show that its members of the PowerUp Rewards are aware and interested in the console system. There are about 25 percent of those members who are aware of the console plan to buy it in the future. The pre-launch purchase intent metric is actually in line with that of the Xbox One at one point.
The retail gaming company predicted that the figure in the metric could go higher after Nintendo's Switch news event, which will be in January. During this event, the game company will be revealing the console's price, specs, and its game titles that will go with the launching.
Another personality in the video game industry also praised the upcoming console system. "Skyrim" director Todd Howard revealed to Glixel in an exclusive interview that he tried the console system at E3 recently. He said that he was really impressed with the hybrid console.
Howard said that he loved playing the console and he wanted to play more, but he could not divulge any more information due to a non-disclosure affidavit. All he could say was that it was one of the best demos he has ever seen and it was probably the best one at the event.
The game director said that Nintendo's plan for the hybrid console is smart and he confirmed that their company is definitely going to support it. He revealed that it is the first time for their gaming company to be supporting Nintendo. He also teased that "Skyrim" is the same game on the TV and on the other screen, which points to the console's recent trailer.
