They say some heroes don't come with capes and this phrase couldn't be more relevant to Canadian WWE superstar Chris Jericho. Jericho at the ripe old age of 45 years old, has been a very key figure in the WWE as the company tries to move the brand into a new era.
The Ayatollah of Rock And Rolla who of course has been a six-time champion, by beating the likes of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin along the way, is a wrestler who is arguably somewhat undervalued and even under appreciated.
Yes, he may not be the biggest in terms of size, but Y2J's in ring ability more than makes up for any percevied in capabilities in the ring. As I am sure true wrestling fans, it's not necessarily the big brute like wrestlers that necessarily make good wrestlers.
Of course, they would make good athletes, but the wrestling business and in particular the world of the WWE, this can count for very little, very little indeed. Just look at Roman Reigns, for example, here is an example of a wrestler with an abundance of talent, but hasn't been able to get over with the WWE Universe.
One wrestler who doesn't have that issue is Jericho of course and the WWE veteran's flexibility has been a key ingredient in the success of the company today. Wrestlers such as AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and now Seth Rollins, if reports are true saying that he will be the next person to be in a feud with Y2J.
In the case of the Architect, he is one of the few wrestlers who have thrived without Jericho's help but I am sure it won't hurt Rollins' character to be feuding with such a legend. While Chris Jericho has been here he has of course not forgetting to mention, enabled WWE champion, Kevin Owens, to look like a good champion too.
WWE, please don't let this opportunity go to waste, Chris Jericho is one of the best there is and one of the best that there ever will be.
