After starring in tvN's "The K2," Ji Chang-Wook is now gearing up to return to the small screen. Recently, the 29-year-old Hallyu star revealed he would love to take up Lee Joon-Gi's role in the upcoming web drama "Seven First Kisses."
At the "Seven First Kisses" press conference on Nov. 22, Tuesday, Ji expressed his interest in playing Lee's role in the web drama. The former will once again transform into a sexy secret agent, while the latter plays a chaebol church oppa.
"In this drama, I took on the role of a secret agent," Soompi quoted Ji as saying before a predominantly Korean crowd. "I wanted a handsome and gentle role like the other actors, but they made me do a secret agent."
Ji went ahead to say that there is something about Lee's character; he drives a red sports car and has a cool aura. The Hallyu star then revealed he requested to change the scenario a bit, but the staff refused to budge, adding that he is the only one who has action scenes.
Nonetheless, Ji revealed his role will require him to show a bit of skin. He said, "There is some nudity. But it's really minimal, just barely showing a bit of skin."
Directed by Jung Jung-Hwa, "Seven First Kisses" follows a duty-free store employee, Min Soo-Jin (Lee Choi-Hee), who never had a boyfriend since birth, The Kpop Herald reported. She then meets a goddess (Choi Ji-Woo) who gives her the chance to choose among the seven handsome guys that will win her first kiss.
Her options are a top Hallyu star (Lee Jong-Suk), a chaebol church oppa (Lee Joon-Gi), a travel writer (Lee Min-Ho), a sexy secret agent (Ji Chang-Wook), a romantic co-worker (Park Hae-Jin), a naïve rich kid (2PM's Taecyeon) and an adorable younger male friend (EXO's Kai). The web drama will be produced by the Lotte Duty-Free Shop and will be used as a promotional tool for the brand.
"Seven First Kisses" will be released in mid-December. Check out the video below for more information:
