Black Friday 2016 has arrived and it is one of the best times of the year to buy a new flat screen television. The number of large 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) TV sets on sale is up this year at several major retail chains. That includes big discounts at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Amazon on TV models from Samsung, Sony, Philips, LG, and TCL.
Walmart
The biggest deal at the retail giant is the 55-inch Philips Smart 4K TV on sale for $298 (save $201), according to BGR. It is a good choice for watching movies, and videos at Netflix and YouTube.
Walmart is also offering the Samsung 60-inch 6200 Series for $798. That is $2,202 off the list price or almost a 75-percent reduction.
Target
The big box chain is offering the 40-inch Samsung UN40J5200 for $248 (save $152). That is a big discount of almost 40 percent.
Target has also slashed the price of the larger 50-inch Samsung UN50KU6300. The new price is $398 (save $352) or about 47 percent off, according to Forbes.
Holiday shoppers who want a huge 60-inch screen can buy the Samsung UN60KU6300 for $698 (save $502). It is a savings of 42 percent.
Best Buy
Best Buy is offering many Black Friday TV deals. They include the Samsung 55-inch Class LED Smart 4K UHD TV. Its new $480 price (save $320) is a 40-percent price drop
The consumer electronics chain is also offering the LG 60-inch Class LED Smart 4K UHD TV for $600 (save $400) or a 40-percent mark-down.
Amazon
The e-commerce company is offering price cuts on many high-end TVs. Samsung's UN65KS8500 Curved 65-Inch 4K Smart LED TV is now $1,598 (save $370) or almost 20 percent off.
There are also 40 percent-off sales on select 4K UHD TVs from Samsung.
The 65-inch LG Electronics 65UH7700 4K UHD Smart LED TV is now $1,297.00 (save $1,503). That is a formidable discount of 54 percent.
Sony's XBR55X850D 55-Inch 4K UHD Smart TV is now $898 (save $300) or about one-quarter off.
Finally, Amazon.com has taken $300 off the 55-inch TCL 55US5800 4K UHD Roku Smart LED TV. It is now $400 or 43 percent cheaper.
