2NE1 disbands officially after seven years, which angered fans of one of the most sought pop female Korean groups. YG Entertainment, the company managing the careers of 2NE1 members, has become the target of online bashing the moment fans discovered the band's disbandment.
Following the announcement of YG Entertainment on Nov.25, Friday, the social media accounts of YG CEO Yang Hyun-suk and YG Family have been flooded with hateful comments. Online users even began the hashtag #JusticeFor2NE1," because they believe that the company mismanaged the group. Only 2NE1 members CL and Dara remained under the hood of YG Entertainment.
"As 2NE1 was YG's official girl group for seven years, we cannot begin to express how we feel," Soompi quoted YG Entertainment as saying in the statement, which is now removed from its official website. "But we determined that it was too difficult to continue. Rather than waiting an unknown amount of time for 2NE1's next promotions, we have decided to focus on the members' solo activities."
It was a heartbreaking news for fans of the popular K pop group, who all expected to see another album from them. As soon as 2NE1 disbands news was confirmed, CL immediately informed fans through Twitter how broken she was with the news.

Another goodbye message was released by Dara on the social media as she apologized for their unreleased music. 2NE1 member Minzy resigned from the group earlier in 2016. YG Entertainment then announced that the group would return as a trio, but later made changes that Park Bom would no longer be part of the group.
2NE1 members earlier teased fans of a possible return on the spotlight as a group, Billboard reported. Dara hinted of a music video underway; Bom made a comeback on the social media after two years of hiatus; and CL made a message of hope as she captioned one of her posts "Soon."
Prior to 2NE1 disbandment, the group faced a series of controversies. Bom was also caught in the middle of rumors about her involvement in drugs. The group was last seen together performing at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2015.
2NE1 made its name in Korea as well as in the international music scene. They made two Korean albums with the last one "Crush" released in 2014 that was billed as the highest-charting K-pop album on Billboard 200.
