Wang Qishan, the country’s anti-corruption chief, has urged for the tight implementation of Party discipline and regulation to enable people to realize the goals to build a well-developed and thriving society.
Wang made the statement during a forum discussion with lawmakers in Beijing on March 5, Thursday, regarding the work report issued by Premier Li Keqiang, Xinhua reported.
The premier said that the Communist Party of China bared the so-called "four comprehensives" strategic plan to help realize the country's economic and development goals, which also include governing rules for the Party.
The political concept of the "four comprehensives" was initiated by President Xi Jinping and provides strict governance over the Communist Party of China and a comprehensive outline of strategies to build a moderately prosperous society, undertake needed substantial reform, and advance the rule of law.
The anti-corruption chief said that implementing strict Party rules in a systematic and comprehensive way is mainly needed to put into action the economic and development targets of the country.
He also underscored the adherence to Party rules as the key to implement substantial reforms and promote the rule of law.
"To strictly govern the CPC, Party disciplines and regulations must be tightened so that the power of Party officials could be locked in the cage of regulations," Wang was quoted as saying.
The chief added that Party discipline should become the standard of action for each member, or what he called as the "untouchable bottom lines."
He further added that all violations to Party rules and discipline must be addressed in a timely manner.
