New details on "Resident Evil 7" will feature more information on the Baker Family and the monsters, as well as the sequel lasting only 20 hours.
Capcom revealed several game details for "Resident Evil 7" this week as the sequel will have gamers face supernatural threats in the form of grotesque monsters with a teaser trailer that showed the title’s main character briefly encountering what looked like an amalgam of horrible features from past creatures in the series.
And now it seems that these monsters have a name as the are called the “Molded,” after the lanky, jittery monsters were seen in the basement of the main house making their way from a sub-section of the space called the “processing area”.
According to IGN, the Molded are the results of the failed experiments that Baker Family have doing to their victims. These creatures are hard to kill as it takes several handgun shots to finish them off. Capcom insisting that "Resident Evil 7" will be going back to the series’ survival horror roots with items such as green herbs returning, ammo will more than likely be scarce. In this the case, the players must improve their aiming abilities.
Gamers are advised to carefully manage their ammo especially to them. However, this particular action-driven sequence is designed to be an intentional change of pace from the tense exploration aspects of the main portions of the game, so fans might be able to replenish their bullets.
Capcom added that encounters with the Baker Family are very much dynamic as Jack and Marguerite will hunting the player throughout most of the game. Gamers compared the Baker Family as the Alien Xenomorphs in "Resident Evil 7".
The VHS Tapes will be an important item in "Resident Evil 7" as it contains flashbacks of certain events within the game that affects the player's currenr situation in the present.
Meanwhile, several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible game length of "Resident Evil 7".
According to MobiPicker, "Resident Evil 7" will be 20 hours long to finish as the publication hinted that it will less survival horror and gamers might get more ammo and weapons, but with more monster encounters.
"Resident Evil 7" is compared to the likes of "DayZ" and "Rust" as gamers will become a pro not very long and the environment begins to suffer, even speculating that the second haft of the sequel will be in more intricate environments to enhance the atmosphere and keep it fresh, mechanically.
"Resident Evil 7" will feature several areas besides the Baker Family house such as a forest or swamp area, a second house that was featured in the "Lantern" demo and a factory which likely houses a secret laboratory that created the Baker family and the monsters that present in the game.
There is also a hint of a mastermind pulling the strings of the Baker family, serving as the real antagonist for "Resident Evil 7".
