New details for "Tekken 7" will feature a Nintendo Switch version tease and development for "Tekken X Street Fighter" to continue after sequel's launch.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding "Tekken 7's" inclusion to Nintendo's new game console the Nintendo Switch as game producer Katsuhiro Harada told GameSpot that he was surprised about the unveiling of the new Nintendo console, giving gaming fans a slight of hope of "Tekken 7" being available to other gaming platforms.
The publication also asked Harada if would support Sony and Microsoft’s upgraded consoles, namely the Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Harada, these gaming platforms are relatively new and it is hard for him to confirm anything at the moment.
In other news, Bandai Namco will likely work on "Tekken X Street Fighter" after the launch of "Tekken 7" as Harada stated that the success of the sequel will jumpstart "Tekken X Street Fighter" as Capcom has been making tremendous effort into making "Street Fighter 5" a success in the market.
"Tekken 7" on the other hand, has been very popular in the arcades, thus in a business perspective it will not be a good idea to announce "Tekken X Street Fighter" yet and may have to do it soon, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Bandai Namco stopped that development of "Tekken X Street Fighter" on April as Harada believed it may "fracture" the audiences of both "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" franchises. Harada added that the gamers who are loyal to both "Street Fighter" and "Tekken" have been proved difficult for them to announce a release date window for "Tekken X Street Fighter", and so it was decided that the crossover will be put "on hold" for now.
It is rumored that "Tekken 7" could launch on February 2017 and character such as Lei Wulong, Roger Jr. Anna Williams, Zafina and Julia Chang could be added in the roster or possible DLC fighters.
The roster of "Tekken 7" includesJin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Lars Alexanderson, Alisa, Asuka, Lili, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Lee, Nina, Bryan Fury, Leo, Feng Wei, Yoshimitsu, Xiaoyu, Dragunov, Bob, Miguel and Devil Jin. There also new faces introduced in the sequel such as Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Jack-7, Gigas, Shaheen, Master Raven, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.
