Hours before announcing an installment to the "Last of Us" franchise, game developer Naughty Dog declared yesterday that a downloadable content for the "Uncharted" franchise would be released and will star female protagonists Chloe and Nadine.
People may be wondering what happened after "Drake's Deception" wherein people may get the answer in the new downloadable content of "The Lost Legacy," which still has no clear release date, GameSpot reported. The game, despite it being a downloadable content, is said to be a standalone game where Naughty Dog described it as a "new Uncharted game."
Naughty Dog posted on its website that after spending the "better part of the last 10 years on a journey with Nathan Drake" with four games in the "Uncharted" franchise, the gaming giants wants to focus on another of the game's characters with Drake's story being almost over.
"The Lost Legacy" will focus on the story of Chloe Frazier, with Naughty Dog noting that the master, who debuted in "Uncharted 2," has a "strong and enigmatic" character that would perfectly fit the new protagonist of the game.
In a nine-minute gameplay video released by Naughty Dog, Frazier is seen in a war-torn area that looks like a Middle Eastern city while wearing a hijab and is on her way to meet her partner Nadine Ross at a rooftop. The two female protagonists will go deep into the Western Ghat's mountain range in India to find the long lost Tusk of Ganesh.
Like its predecessors, "The Lost Legacy" will showcase the same gameplay of "cinematic storytelling set within exotic destinations, to dynamic combat and intricate puzzles." However, the same publication reported that the game may be an exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
"Uncharted" fans would surely want to get their hands on the "Uncharted: Lost Legacy" and Naughty Dog's upcoming "The Last of Us 2." Be sure to stay tuned here for more gaming updates.
