In August, there were rumors of Apple working on it's new 10.5-inch iPad. According to new report, the production work of the said device will begin in December. It is said that the unveiling event for the new device will be held in the beginning of 2017.
Apple tablets which are currently in the market come in three sizes with 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch and 12.9- inch. The 9.7 and 12.9-inch Apple tablets are available with iPad Pro moniker whereas the iPad MIni tablets come with 7.9-inch screen.
Fresh rumors suggest that an iPad Pro with a new size of 10.5-inch will be released next year. It is assumed that Apple will officially introduce 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablets together in 2017. Both the iPads will come equipped with Apple's new A10X chipset.
Rumors suggest that the reason why Apple is launching the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is to serve both business and students.The iPad with the 9.7-inch is quite small to work on whereas the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is said to be more expensive for students.
10.5-inch iPad Pro Launch Date
Apple will introduce the new iPad with 10.5-inch in the first quarter of next year. It is expected to sell out 2 million models of 10.5-inch iPads in the first quarter and is poised to close the sale with 5-6 million devices for the year 2017.
3 Apple iPad Pro Tablets in 2017
Apple is also planning to release its new iPad with 9.7-inch at the same time in 2017. It will be costing lesser than the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. They will be priced competitively to to take on Android models, DigiTimes reported.
Tablet Sales Set to Rise Again
It is a known fact that tablet sales have been declining globally for in the recent years. It is said that it will continue in this year as well as in the coming year.
Apple had also encountered a decline in its trend, but the launch of Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro in March has help the company in achieving better tablet sales.. The sale of tablets is said to increase in the year 2018 and will carry on until 2020, according to IDC report.
