Square Enix has revealed that "Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King" Kickstarter will be ending soon. Stretch goals have been updated to garner more donations from fans and interested buyers.
According to the official Kickstarter page of the video game, the Square Enix Collective is currently supporting this Kickstarter campaign through the Redlock Studio. It has reached its $84,500 goal just a few days ago, but the game publisher decided to keep helping the studio by telling more people to support the campaign.
The game studio has announced that they will make it clearer for their followers about the console versions of the video game. They revealed that they really want it to be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which is one of their priorities. They can also guarantee that the video game will come out on those consoles and that the backers will get their own copy for $21.
The only issue about the console versions is that the studio cannot guarantee when it will be released. They clarified that their budget is really low with their scope for the project, but it will be their starting point. They also said that the more funds they have, the less time they will have to take on external contracts or rely on external funding just to finish the game, which means that they can focus on adding more features like making console version.
The studio assured that they will be able to release "Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King" on consoles. If they cannot meet the stretch goal, the console versions will have to wait a while.
The original goal for the video game was $116,000, which included new bosses and added voiceovers. With the new update to the stretch goal, they have added additional secret areas, wanderers, and fallens.
According to another post on the official Kickstarter page of the video game, the current pledged funds for the video game is $109,581, which has surpassed their initial goal. They currently have 1,749 backers that are funding this great project. To celebrate surpassing their current goal, they have made a new trailer for the video game.
