Bandai Namco has released a brand new trailer for the "Road to Boruto" DLC for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4." The trailer further showcases the new characters such as Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and the "Road to Boruto" versions of both Sasuke and Naruto.
The trailer is in Japanese but the visuals alone give Western audiences a good glimpse of the new characters and features that will make their way into the game when the DLC launches next year.
At nearly five minutes long, the trailer focuses primarily on showcasing the unique fighting styles of the aforementioned characters. The adult Sasuke and Naruto both feature high-level skills while Boruto is shown using ninja gadgets, some of which were stated in the manga series to be banned.
The DLC will add in a new Story Mode based on the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" animated film and will include new playable characters for the offline and online roster of Free Battle Mode, Gematsu reported. The Hokage Naruto and Adult Sasuke are included in this addition to the roster.
At the tail-end of the trailer the villain Momoshiki Otsutsuki, the primary antagonist in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie." During the sequence Boruto is being aided by both his father, Naruto, and by Sasuke Uchiha. This mirrors how the battle took place in the animated film of which the DLC is based on.
"Road to Boruto" will be available as a digital download DLC but there will also be a physical release as well. This physical copy will come with the main game and all previous DLCs all packaged into one and will cost $49.99. The physical copy of the DLC was previously only scheduled for Japan and Europe but is now also confirmed for North America.
Japan will also get an exclusive version of the DLC which can be played on its own, separate from the main "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" game.
According to a report from Dual Shockers, the "Road to Boruto" DLC will release in North America for PC, Xbox One and PS4 on Feb. 3, 2017.
