One of the highlights at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was Sony's grand announcement of the latest sequel in the "God of War" franchise.
Ever since the announcement, a plethora of fans has been musing on when will they grab ahold of the new title as Sony remained tight-lipped about such information. However, it has been quite a while now since it was revealed to its fandom, and most of them are contemplating as of late on what is keeping Sony and Santa Monica Studio from rolling out the anticipated installment.
Talks are getting rife that the developer may have a shortage of people with the essential know-how in making the game. Such speculation was further strengthened, as Santa Monica Studio pinned job postings on their website needing talents to be part of the "God of War" development collective.
A notable listing that they are after is the senior VFX artist post that will be responsible for devising awe-inspiring visuals and graphics for the new "God of War" project. Nonetheless, it looks like the developer is still in search of such talent as the job ad is still posted on the developer's website.
Meanwhile, Sony Interactive Entertainment's Cory Barlog was asked by a fan on Twitter if the recently hired members of the development team were the ones causing the hold up, considering the learning curve that they have to undergo. Barlog negated such inquiry by responding that the new folks actually make the development even faster.
As for the game itself, players are very much oriented by now that the new "God of War" will showcase a sober version of Kratos, as he now dwells in a land where the Norse mythos is the main belief. Moreover, "God of War's" website noted that the story will be an emotional journey for the anti-hero given the fact that Kratos now has a son that he trains to become a god, whilst his son also gives him a lesson or two on human emotions.
