Swansea City continues to struggle in the English top flight this term as the team had won only once in their last six outings. They are currently in the cellar of the 20-team league table after 14 rounds of competitions.
The Swans snapped a two-game unbeaten run after they were crushed by contending team Tottenham Hotspur, 0-5, on the road at the White Hart Lane last Saturday, as per the Telegraph.
Head coach Bob Bradley's squad was overmatched by the streaking Spurs, who had braces from Harry Kane (in the 39th and 49th minutes) and Christian Eriksen (in the 70th and 90th+2 minutes) and a goal from Son Heung-min in the first half injury time to complete their five-goal haul.
Meanwhile, Sunderland claimed their third win in the last four rounds with a 2-1 nipping of defending champions Leicester City at their home ground of Stadium of Light last Saturday, Sports Mole reported.
After a goalless first half of action, an own goal from Leicester defender Robert Huth broke the deadlock in the 64th minute for the Black Cats. English striker Jermain Defoe doubled the lead in the 77th with his fourth goal in five games coming off a rebound play after forward Duncan Watmore's shot was blocked by Huth.
The Foxes were able to score a consolation goal in the 80th minute courtesy of a goal by Japanese forward Shinji Okazaki off an assist from midfielder Demarai Gray.
Despite their recent wins, head coach David Moyes' side remained in the relegation zone. They will have a chance to get out of the bottom three if they win this game against the Swans.
