There are a lot of crossovers offered in the market today and one of them is the 2017 Subaru Outback. It is a versatile and practical family vehicle that can go everywhere with its standard all-wheel drive footing.
Starting with the spacious interior, it comfortably seats five people yet still offers enough storage room for all the camping, beach and skiing gears the family may want to take with them during outings. It has a total of 143.6 cubic feet of space inside, plus the standard cargo-carrying roof rails with integrated crossbars for kayaks or bikes.
The interior also comes with soft-touch surfaces with an option to go full leather, a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, an optional 10-way driver's seat, and an adjustable power rear gate that is available for almost all its models, according to its official website.
All 2017 Subaro Outback also comes with the rear-vision camera and reverse automatic braking for safely backing up as well as Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) with Active Torque Vectoring that assists in more stable handling, correcting steering and braking when needed. Higher models can include EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and Pre-Collision Braking that detects traffic movement.
Subaru also offers the Starlink Safety and Security feature that provides automatic collision notification, enhanced roadside assistance and stolen vehicle recovery services. The Starlink Multimedia provides information and entertainment for the most enjoyable trip every time and anytime. It is also compatible with iOS and Android devices to make everyone happy.
Under the hood of the 2017 Outback is the standard 2.5i 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine that produces 175 horsepower with a fuel efficiency of 32/25 mpg Cty/Hwy. An optional 3.6R 6-cylinder, 256 horsepower engines is available for those looking for extra performance and hauling capability, which comes with a 27/20 mpg Cty/Hwy fuel economy. Both power plants come with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.
The 2017 Subaru Outback starts at $25,645 for the basic 2.5i model, while the 2.5i Touring variant starts at $35,995. There are two more models in between. The more powerful 3.6R series starts at $34,995 and has two options to choose from. It is now available at local Subaru dealers in the United States.
