"Pitch Perfect 3" is currently in development, with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld and Brittany Snow reprising their roles as members of the Barden Bellas. With each movie, the show surprises fans with cameo appearances from some of the biggest stars in young Hollywood. Who will join the aca-awesome cast of "Pitch Perfect 3"?
Kendrick will reprise her role as Beca Mitchell. Wilson, Snow, Anna Camp and Steinfeld area also reprising their respective characters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Banks was initially planned to direct "Pitch Perfect 3"; however, the role has since been passed to Trish Sie. Banks is still attached as a co-producer together with her husband Max Handelman.
Adam DeVine, who played Bumper Allen and love interest to Wilson's Fat Amy, is not likely to appear in "Pitch Perfect 3." Speaking to LA Times, DeVine said, "I don't even know if I'm going to be in it. They didn't have me sign on." He added that if his schedule permits, he would love to take part in the movie again.
Fans can only expect "Pitch Perfect 3" to be bigger than the first two films. There are already several stars rumored to appear in the film, and among those include Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.
There are also rumors that "High School Musical" actress Vanesssa Hudgens is being considered for a role in "Pitch Perfect 3" as well as "Glee" star Lea Michele. So far, there has been no confirmation as regards to Hudgens and Michele, but both actresses will be perfect additions to the "Pitch Perfect" franchise given their experience in musical movies and TV shows.
The first two "Pitch Perfect" movies had an amazing set of cameo appearances, which includes acapella quintet Pentatonix, "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts, hip hop icon Snoop Dogg, and actor David Cross. The coaches of "The Voice" also appeared in the movie when Bumper Allen auditioned to make his big break in the industry.
"Pitch Perfect 3" is expected to premiere in theaters on Dec. 22, 2017.
