"Doom" will get a new free update that will allow bots as opponents in multiplayer. The upcoming DLC will need a large storage size on Steam.
According to the official website of Bethesda, the latest free update has introduced a number of new features to the game's multiplayer mode. One of the notable additions is the bot support for multiplayer gameplay, which allows the players to fight against AI-controlled enemies.
For now, the bots are only available in the less-complex game modes, which are Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. They are also limited to play on the original slate of multiplayer maps, since this feature is still in its early stages.
Update 5 introduced a new multiplayer mode called the Infernal Run, which has a similarity to another video game mode in its multiplayer feature. It lets two teams compete to hold on an eyeball that makes a gross noise, and it must be thrown or carried into the enemy's goal.
The level cap of the video game has been increased with the update. Players can now reach Echelon 11, and will allow them to get a reward in the form of the Doom marine armor. The armor is now available in SnapMap as well, as are the new Lazarus Lab modules.
The update added several elements in SnapMap like accessing the Leaderboard Score in the HUD. Players can access the new added first-person view Player Camera Entity. The camera also got new rumble FX and sounds as effects.
The update added new player modifiers like the Ledge grab time, power-up time, and many more. There is also a new plasma weapon master for them to complete.
The update added a double XP award if players will play the game now until Dec. 12. On Dec. 15, id Software will release the third and final DLC pack for the game, which will add three new maps and a Spectre Pinky demon that can turn invisible.
According to the official website of Reddit, the video game's update 5 will have a size of 11.9 GB on Steam. Some members are already complaining about the needed size for the update. One member even said that the game is going to be 100+ GB in size soon.
