While exercising in the gym leads to a sweaty session, some women still wear makeup. However, wearing makeup during exercise in the gym could not work well with the skin as it can mix with sweat, impurities and oils that could result in acnes.

Makeup enhances beauty and some wear them while working out because they come from a day's work and have to get going or they simply forget their face wipes. Recently, Tarte Cosmetics launched a collection of athleisure-inspired makeup.

The makeup includes a pressed powder, tinted lip balm, a highlighting moisturizer, tinted moisturizers with SPF, blotting paper compact to mattify and a sweat-proof mascara. The brand is among the firsts to create makeup that can hold up against sweat using cruelty-free, vegan and naturally derived ingredients.

Makeup makes women feel beautiful and boosts confidence. Tarte's new makeup collection for gym goers is called "the yoga pants of skin care."

"Do you know the feeling you get when you slip into a pair of great yoga pants?" Tarte CEO and founder Maureen Kelly told Popsugar. "You have this quiet confidence - you know you look good and pulled together when you run out of the house."

Yoga pants are comfortable, cool and completely effortless. Sporty is the new sexy as anyone can just sport a fresh face sans the makeup. Women go to multiple places, errands, parties, events or gym. Their look makes them confident in any real-life moment.

However, even with clean ingredients, it is still better not to wear makeup to the gym. The best thing to do is to cleanse one's face before working out to avoid mixing sweat to clog pores.

It does not matter if the makeup is vegan or natural, Dr. Sejal Shah of Smarter Skin Dermatology told Yahoo. She added that it is equally important to wash the face after a workout, either there is a makeup or not.

Dr. Shah does recommend to not leave the skin completely bare when exercising. One can wear an oil-free moisturizer or a mineral-based SPF when outdoors since the skin becomes dry after sweat evaporates. Yet, if the skin is acting up, it is better to not use makeup at all.
