The iPhone 8 is expected in 2017 though it may be accompanied by an iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. If so, the anticipated iPhone 8 will be the only OLED-powered device with the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus retaining the same TFT-LCD displays.
The word out is that there will be three iPhone variants coming in 2017 though most are expecting them to be under the iPhone 8 line. Then again, it seems a bit odd not to see Apple releasing an “S” line, a practice it has done in recent years.
In an effort to address the situation, seeing a lone iPhone 8 alongside two iPhone 7 variants could happen if rumors hold true. The iPhone 7s will be powered by an A11 chip and come with two additional colors, red and jet white, Mac Otakara reported. Both the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will offer the same 4.7- and 5- inch display sizes.
Right now, the belief that Apple will offer an iPhone 7s would be more than to carry a tradition though demand and preference are questioned. Most Apple fans are eager to see the new design, making the lone iPhone 8 the star of the show.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be Apple’s ticket in transitioning to OLED screen technology, backed by powerful specs. Aesthetically, the iPhone 8 is expected to come out in an all-glass design and an edge-to-edge AMOLED display. The home button and 3.5 mm jacks are expected to be taken out, glimpses of which were already seen on the iPhone 7.
Other notable features tied up to the iPhone 8 include an A11 chip, Touch ID fingerprint sensor technology, Iris or facial scanning, long-range wireless charging, a front-facing camera and a 12 MP dual-lens camera, Mac Rumors reported.
The belief is that the iPhone 8 is expected to be released in the Fall of 2017, the Cupertino’s usual release date for its flagship mobile device. All that aside, most are concerned about whether there will actually be three iPhones to expect in 2017. Additionally, will it be one or all iPhone 8 models to choose from?
