A high-profile match between two of the top three teams of the 2016-2017 Serie A season, AS Roma (10-3-2, 32 points) and AC Milan (10-3-2, 32 points), is scheduled at the Stadio Olimpico on Dec. 12, Monday as round 15 of the Italian top flight competitions concludes.

Roma is currently on a two-game winning run and has won three of their last four games to climb to second place in the current league table, four points behind defending champions and league leaders Juventus. They are tied on points with Milan but has the superior goal difference to secure the second spot.
I Giallorossi is coming off a 2-0 win over Lazio in their capital city derby at the Stadio Olimpico on Dec. 4, as per Goal.
After a goalless first half of play, Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman broke the game's deadlock in the 64th minute with a left-footed shot from the center of the box to the top right corner of Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti's net.
Lazio then caught a bad break as midfielder Danilo Cataldi was booked with a straight red card for violent conduct just two minutes later with Strootman getting a yellow card.
Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan then doubled the lead of head coach Luciano Spalletti's squad in the 77th as goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny pulled off the clean sheet.
Meanwhile, AC Milan nipped bottom three team Crotone, 2-1, at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium also on Dec. 4 for their fifth straight unbeaten performance, Daily Mail Online reported.
Crotone netted the opening goal in the 26th with a left-footer by forward Diego Falcinelli from a pass by teammate Marcus Rohden.
Head coach Vincenzo Montella's side was able to equalize the count four minutes before the break with a close-range header by Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic off a headed pass by Gabriel Paletta following a corner kick.
Gianluca Lapadula netted the winning goal in the 86th minute with a right-footed strike following a set piece situation.
