2NE1 Dara solo debut as a singer may happen soon after her daring performance at "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" finale.
The South Korean idol surprised everyone when she worked the stage with a hot and sexy number on the culmination of the reality survival show to which she was a judge. Dara performed her single "Kiss" along with the 7 finalists onstage.
This could be a sign that Dara will be following the footsteps of other former 2NE1 members - CL, Park Bom, and Minzy - in pursuing solo careers in singing. Dara's electrifying performance hinted that she is ready to take the stage on her own.
Being the main vocal of 2NE1, Park Bom released her solo album during the girl group is still promoting under YG. She released single "Don't Cry" and "You and I". Because of her unique voice, she has collaborated with her labelmates such as BIGBANG.
CL is currently building her singing career in the international scene. She is taking North America by storm and she just rounded up her North American and Canadian tour. Youngest member Minzy signed with Music Works after leaving 2NE1 and YG Entertainment. She is now preparing for her solo debut as well that will either happen by the end of the month or early next year.
Dara is more focused into building her acting career. She starred in web dramas and even appeared as guest in some Korean dramas like The Producers. Tagged as the most beautiful in YG Entertainment, Dara bagged a lot of endorsements.
After her judging stint in the Philippines, Dara will reportedly fly back to South Korea to take on some acting projects lined up for her. It was previously reported that she bagged the female lead role in the Korean version of "Begin Again". She is also the head of Public Relations of YG, so she will attend to some of her admin tasks.
