The 2017 Royal Rumble match is expected to be one of the biggest in the event's history. There will be many surprises in store but the winner of the match might be an even bigger surprise. The latest rumors imply that Bray Wyatt might end up winning the 2017 Royal Rumble match.
The Wyatt Family is one of the most over stable in the WWE since their debut back in 2013. However, they have been booked terribly leading to fans not caring about them anymore. But the addition of Randy Orton has brought new life to Wyatt and Luke Harper.
The Eater of Worlds finally got to taste his first WWE gold at TLC when he and Orton defeated Heath Slater and Rhyno for the SmackDown Tag Team titles. Harper was also declared as champion since they will defend the championships under the Freebird Rule, per WWE.com.
The new Wyatt Family has looked unstoppable with Orton, Wyatt and Harper in top form. This might lead to an even bigger push heading into WrestleMania 33. According to Four3Four.com, Wyatt is currently the favorite to win the 2017 Royal Rumble match.
"The current favorite to win the Royal Rumble is Bray Wyatt with the help of The Wyatt Family, Randy Orton and Luke Harper," the report noted.
"It sounds like WWE want to have Wyatt win similar to how Orton won the match back in 2009 with the help of Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase). If Wyatt does win the match, it seems like he will challenge whoever is WWE Champion at the time, which is likely to be AJ Styles," the report added.
However, it should be noted that these are just rumors at the moment. Take with a grain of salt as the WWE tends to change their plans on a regular basis. There were reports last month that the company wanted to push The Wyatt Family as tag team champions because they want to make the title legitimate in the eyes of the fans.
Orton, who called working with Wyatt and Harper "fun," is also rumored to be facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Nevertheless, things are certainly looking for The Wyatt Family as they are being booked right.
