The latest details for the new "God of War" will feature a delayed release date of the game and the Nine Realms will likely be seen in the plot.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the release date delay of "God of War" for the PS4 as game director Cory Balrog stated that Santa Monica Studios is closing in on the conclusion of their motion capture work for the game.
Other speculations claim that the delayed released date was due to lack of man power for the team, however, this was immediately debunked by Santa Monica Studios. Even with the post containing their need for more staff to work on the title, it was said that it was not the reason behind their delay, GameNGuide reported.
Previous reports revealed that "God of War" PS4 will likely launch in the Fall of 2017 as the official website of Amazon revealed the pre-order details of the game at $59.99 with a released date placeholder on Dec. 29, 2017. For now, Santa Monica Studio has not yet revealed the exact month and date for "God of War's" release date, but gaming fans will eagerly wait for the announcement next year.
Meanwhile, it seems that Kratos could be visiting the Nine Realms from Norse mythology during the events of "God of War" PS4.
Balrog explained the reasons for the sequel's Norse mythology setting as he revealed that the notion of cultures’ mythological belief systems coexisting with one another, but only being “separated" by geography.
In Kratos case, he traveled from Greece to Norway, but gamers will not expect to see vikings there due to it being in the pre-migration era. Kratos is at the prehistory point, were monsters and Norse gods walked among the lands, before they became extinct.
Balrog added that Kratos' wife will have a huge impact in "God of War's" storyline but he did not reveal any further details at the moment. Balrog added that sequel is being worked by the original "God of War" crew and teased that Kratos and his son will be visiting some of the nine realms in Norse mythology,Gamingbolt reported.
Santa Monica Studios also confirmed that hey are not releasing more demos "God of War" at least in the near future as Balrog told the gaming fans that they rather spend time working on and completing the game.
Balrog added that PS4 users can play the new "God of War" sequel in the regular PlayStation 4 console, thus they do not need a PS4 Pro support to experience the action,
The new "God of War" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4.
