Popular Xbox 360 video game "Lost Odyssey" now available for free on Xbox One through the Backward Compatibility feature. Xbox One gets new system software update.
According to the official website of Xbox, the popular JRPG Xbox 360 classic is now available to download for free for a limited time. This happened due to the celebration of the Xbox 360 Backward Compatibility feature on Xbox One now counts more than 300 titles.
In order to download the video game, they will have to go to the official website and just click on the link to start the download. It will be available only until Dec. 31, and it will not available in certain countries like Turkey, Israel, and China. The size of the full download is 22.43GB since the whole video game consisted of four Xbox 360 DVDS.
Players will be able to relive the journey of Kaim, the mysterious immortal warrior as he goes into a journey of self-discovery. Hironobu Sakaguchi, Takehiko Inoue, Kiyoshi Shigematsu, and Nobuo Uematsu collaborated together to create this next generation RPG. This was originally released in 2008 for the Xbox 360 in North America.
In other Xbox One related news, the console system gets a new system software update. According to another post on the official website of Xbox, it has improved the download speeds between 80 percent and 40 percent faster, but it will depend on the console owner's bandwidth. It has also introduced a firmware update for the wireless controller.
The OS version is now 10.0.14393.2152 and the release date was Dec. 12. It was clarified that those who have greater than 100Mbps internet speed connections will have the 80 percent increased of download speeds. For those who have lesser than 100Mbps internet speed connections, they will have 40 percent faster speeds than before.
For the background music, there is a general performance improvement for added reliability and consistent experience throughout the streaming music apps. The update also made some improvements in stability and performance for the console system. The improvements on the download speed will make it easier for players to download the Xbox 360 classic "Lost Odyssey" video game on the Xbox One through the Backward Compatibility feature.
