The Orlando Magic are expected to be active in the trade market, with the team looking for a scorer. With plenty of tradable assets in hand, there should be a handful of names in the Magic's list.

The Magic are going to be major players before the February 2017 trade deadline, according to the team's CEO Alex Martins. In an interview on ESPN Afternoon with Scott Anez on Wednesday, Martins revealed that the Magic plan to be active in the trade market.

The Magic are second-worst in the league in total points per game, only averaging 96.6 ahead of the Mavs' league-worst 93.2 points a game. Orlando is also in the bottom 10 of the league in Offensive Rating, posting an efficiency 94.4 points scored per 100 possessions. According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Magic are already making rounds around the league about a potential trade that would land them a scoring help at the backcourt.

It is unclear which among the available names in the market the Magic have in their list, but with plenty of tradable chips on their roster, they are in position to add a scorer who could elevate their offense. The Los Angeles Lakers' backcourt tandem of Lou Williams and Nick Young could be potential targets for the Magic.

Williams and Young are both playing in impressive form the Lakers and have been deemed effective under Luke Walton's system. Williams is averaging a career-high 19.2 points per game, while shooting a staggering 45.3 percent from the field. Young, on the other hand, is slowly getting his niche back with the Lakers, averaging 13.2 points a game on 44.4 percent shooting.

The Lakers seems keen in keeping their core intact, especially after the team surprised the world early in the season, defeating powerhouse teams like the Warriors. But if the Lakers' losing streak continues, the team could mull over moving Williams or Young before the deadline.

Another option for the Magic is Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors. Ross is off to a good start for the Raptors, averaging 11 points on a remarkable 49.7 percent shooting from the field, including 44.7 from downtown. Ross' ability to create his own shots and his catch-and-shoot game would be an ideal fit for Frank Vogel's offensive schemes.

The Raptors have long been interested in adding Serge Ibaka after the team lost Bismack Biyombo in free agency. If the Magic would develop genuine interests for Ross, including Ibaka in any potential trade could get the deal done.
