NVIDIA has a new product and it is not a video graphics card. It is a PC Gaming Revival Kit, which includes a GPU, an SSD storage and a power supply for a makeover of those old gaming rigs.
The package includes an MSI Geforce GTX 1060 3GT OC that comes with 3 GB of VRAM, Corsair Force Series LE 240 SSD with a 240 GB storage capacity, and a 450 watts Corsair CX450M power supply. The bundle also comes with the "Gears of War 4" game code and an NVIDIA T-shirt. It cost 399 EUR (approximately $415), Video Cardz reported.
The publication also showed a breakdown of the content if they are purchased separately and has arrived at a price close the bundle's. In other words, there is not much monetary savings. Still, it provides convenience by taking out the tedious task of choosing the parts. At least, this one is already in a one neat box.
The latest offering from the graphics card manufacturing is also a great gift idea this holiday season, but of course, only for a PC gamer. Those friends and loved ones who have not yet upgraded their computer systems for years will surely appreciate this wonderful gift.
It should also be noted that the NVIDIA PC Gaming Revival Kit contains a 3 GB graphics card, which is considered an entry level card. Thus, there will still be limitations when it comes to the games it can accommodate. The PC will become a 1080p resolution-capable machine and not really the powerhouse that many dream about.
However, for those planning to go full house in the upgrade, NVIDIA has another promo that offers three VR games worth $100 for free. Gamers and VR enthusiasts who purchase the HTC Vive VR headset plus a GTX 1080, a GTX 1070 or a GTX 1060 video card -- either the video graphics card only or installed on package PC system or included in a gaming laptop -- are entitled to the promo, according to the official page. The three VR games included are "Raw Data," "Sports Bar VR" and Serious SAM VR.
It is still unknown if the NVIDIA PC Gaming Revival Kit will become available in other regions. The promo page is currently available only in Europe for 399 EUR.
