South Korean top actor Kim Soo Hyun has renewed his contract with KeyEast Entertainment. The "My Love From The Star" actor continued his partnership with the agency which he's been with since 2010.
KeyEast Entertainment's business head, Yang Geun Hwan, made the announcement on Dec. 19. He also expressed his thanks to the actor. "Kim Soo Hyun has been with Keyeast for the last seven years, and has emerged as an actor who leads the new Hallyu wave while receiving love from fans all over the world," Soompi quoted Yang as saying about Kim Soo Hyun.
Throughout his partnership with KeyEast Entertainment, Kim Soo Hyun bagged roles in hit drama series such as "Giant," "Dream High," "My Love From The Star" and "The Producers." He was also launched as one of the movers of the Hallyu Wave and one of South Korea's most bankable artists.
Kim Soo Hyun's most popular drama series to date is "My Love From The Star," in which he starred alongside "Legend of the Blue Sea" actress Jun Ji Hyun. Following his appearance in the drama series, Kim Soo Hyun reportedly earned approximately $81 million in 2014 through endorsement deals and commercials. At that time, Kim Soo Hyun starred in 30 commercials both in China and South Korea.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun participated in a bowling competition hosted by the Korean Professional Bowlers Association. Pro-Bowling Committee president Oh Il Soo even recognized the actor for his bowling skill and potential to go pro. "I've watched pro-bowler selection matches many times, but Kim Soo Hyun definitely stands out," Oh noted, as per allkpop. "Considering that he trained in the early mornings because of his busy schedules, he has great potential."
Kim Soo Hyun first picked up bowling as a hobby in 2013. It is said that the actor practices 4-5 hours a day. During the 10th game of the 2016 Korean Pro-Bowler Selection, hard work paid off for the actor as he scored 9 consecutive strikes. At the end, he placed No. 31 out of 114 competitors.
Kim Soo Hyun will star in the upcoming movie "Real."
