"Bachelors in Paradise" stars Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton, who got engaged in the season 3 finale, split up a few weeks ago, according to a source.
TMZ reported that the relationship of the 32-year-old former professional baseball player and the 26-year-old aesthetician did not translate perfectly into the real world after the "Bachelors in Paradise" season 3 finale.
"Their relationship had been on the rocks for a while. People were surprised they were together for as long as they were," said the source.
Prior to their break up, there were signs that the couple was going through a rough time. Back in September, the two were rumored to have broken up several times since their engagement.
"It's been a tough road. They have broken up a couple times since getting home and have had a rough start to their relationship. Part of it, in the beginning, was the distance, and the other part was added pressures like dating in the real world," the source revealed.
Despite the breakup rumors, there appears to be some hope of a reconciliation between the ex-lovers. Over the weekend, the two were spotted together with Stanton's four-year-old daughter, Kinsley. Stanton also has another daughter, Charlie, who is just as close to Murray.
On Saturday, Murray posted a photo of himself and Kinsley. "I will always love this precious little angel," he wrote in the caption.
Over the weekend, Stanton was also spotted trying on some wedding dresses at David's Bridal with "Are You the One?" actress Mikala Thomas. The "Bachelors in Paradise" star posted on Instagram a snap of herself while trying on white gowns last weekend.
Before talks about their breakup surfaced, MSN confirmed from Murray and Stanton themselves that the wedding was still on.
"We're enjoying life, enjoying the kids and having a good time. We love each other. We're having a great time," said Murray.
"I'm so in love right now. Amanda is an amazing woman. She is the best woman I've ever met in my entire life. She's beautiful not only on the outside, but it radiates on the inside, and that's what I love the most about her," he added.
