The Running Man members and producers has already gathered for a meeting and discussed over the misunderstandings and miscommunications among the team.
Koreaboo reported that SBS made an official announcement that its most popular show, Running Man will permanently end and will no longer air starting in February 2017.
In addition, SBS Running Man released an official statement stating that the group decided not to end the show on such a sad note. All of the six (6) members be present on the finale episode. Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo will be rejoining Running Man until the end of the show.
An insider has recently revealed the person behind the Running Man controversy is SBS's Chief Producer Gong Hee Chul. He was allegedly the person who decided to remove Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo from the show, Koreaboo reported.
Earlier this year, SBS's Running Man announced that Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo would be leaving in 2017. There were mixed reactions from the fans and eventually turned sour as it was revealed that the two members had no idea that they were being removed.
In related news, Kim Jong Kook's agency has also announced that he will be going on tour of Asia as Running Man's "capable man" in January 2017.
Fans are happy and excited that Kim Jong kook will be more focused on his singing career after the recent announcements of SBS. Kim Jong Kook has gained his popularity through his appearance in the show and he plans to do his duty as a part of the cast one last time.
Kim Jong Kook also made announcements that he is currently working on an album as a member of TURBO. The official release of the album is yet to be announced as the group still needs to finalize on their title title. Although there have been news that TURBO will release the album early next year, in which Kim Jong Kook's tour may be the comeback stage of TURBO. Furthermore, he has been working with Duble Sidekick since last summer and has already recorded multiple songs.
