[WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS OF "OUTLANDER SEASON 3.]

The new season will begin with Diana Gabaldon's popular third Outlander novel, "Voyager." "Outlander" Season 3 will see Claire returning to her life with Jamie in the 1700s after she told her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) about her past. Jamie and Claire will meet again, but with decades apart, fans will see the older version of the beloved characters.

"I think it would be really interesting to see Jamie and Claire apart," Heughan told IGN. "How they both develop their characters and what they become in 20 years, and then when they see each other again."

Heughan admitted to the publication that viewers will witness a fat, older Jamie in "Outlander" Season 3. Upon Claire's return to Jamie's time, the two will meet in Edinburgh, and they will take their most unforgettable voyage across the ocean.

After they were introduced in the Season 2 finale "Dragonfly in Amber," the new chapter will see Brianna and Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) as the two most important characters in the Starz time travel series after Jamie and Claire.

In "Outlander" Season 3, viewers will see Brianna meeting his 20th century father Frank. He will be the one to raise Brianna in Boston all throughout her 20 years.

Some episodes of Season 3 will feature the 20-year period that Claire and Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) spent as husband and wife. Gabaldon told TV Guide that she saw the first four episodes of Season 3, and Frank is more visible there than he was in her written books. She explained that it was done to let the viewers see how Frank and Claire lived during their marriage.

"Outlander" Season 3's new faces include John Bell, who is cast as Jamie's nephew Ian. Wil Johnson will also be onboard as Joe Abernathy, a medical colleague of Claire when she obtained her surgical license in the 20th century.
