Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent the actor's first birthday apart since their divorce. While Pitt celebrated with his small group of close friends, the actress took their daughter camera shopping on her father's birthday.
Pitt is walking on eggshells since his divorce with Jolie. For his special day, he enjoyed a quiet dinner with friends and avoided any unnecessary attention that can hurt his chances of reuniting with his kids.
Reports indicate that "Inglorious Basterds" actor is working really hard to maintain a low profile until the time his divorce and custody battle is in process. He refused to party on his 53rd birthday to prevent a scandal that can interfere with his guardianship. The actor doesn't want to appear like he is busy partying as his family undergoes the painful process of separation.
Reports also claim that the actor is focusing on his work and doing his best to rebuild his trust and relationship with the kids.
Meanwhile, according to a report by Us Weekly, Jolie took her daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt shopping for camera on the same day as her father's birthday, with Pitt nowhere to be seen with the family.
The mother-daughter duo went to Samy's Camera in Los Angeles to check out some vintage cameras for Shiloh, who is apparently very fond of photography. Angie and her kid spent about 10-minutes exploring the cameras as the mother finally selected one and left the store with the waiting driver.
Reports indicate that while the mother and daughter seem to be enjoying their little outing together, Jolie is using his curtailed visits to limit his visitation rights completely.
The judges in custody issues review the children's routine before granting guardianship and "Allied" star is only permitted to see his children in presence of a therapist, reports LA Times.
According to Christopher Melcher, actor's LA attorney, this could severely affect Pitt's claim to 50/50 custody as this could be a big change for the children and an abrupt one. It has been speculated that all this is Jolie's attempt to permanently control Pitt's visit to their six children.
