Rising contenders Manchester United FC (8-3-6, 30 points) will look to extend a three-game winning run in the 2016-2017 Premier League season as they square off with bottom three squad Sunderland AFC (4-11-2, 14 points) at the Old Trafford on Dec. 26, Monday.

Manchester United has been on a roll as of late, winning three straight games after being winless in the previous three rounds. The team is now in the sixth spot of the English top flight table, three points behind fifth-place team Tottenham Hotspur and the Europa League qualifying berth next season and four points below fourth-running squad Arsenal and final Champions League spot for next term.
The Red Devils blanked middling team West Bromwich Albion, 2-0, on the road at the Hawthorns last Saturday, as per The Guardian.
Swede striker Zlatan Ibrahimović was the man of the match for head coach Jose Mourinho's side as he scored a brace in the fifth and 56th minutes. It was also the second clean sheet in the last three games for Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea as United's defense is getting tighter as the season progresses.
Meanwhile, Sunderland is also slowly ascending in the overall standings as they have gained three of their four wins so far this season during the last six rounds of competitions.
