The miraculous blood of Saint Januarius or San Gennaro forewarns of a potential disaster happening next year similar to that of the warnings associated with famous Nostradamus predictions for 2017.
Apart from the highly discussed and shared Nostradamus predictions 2017, another bad omen has been reported in the guise of a "blood miracle." Since time in memorial, the miraculous blood of San Gennaro has been liquefying from its congealed state every time it is shaken in front of thousands of believers in a specific time of a year.
However, just this December 16, 2016, the supposed liquefaction of the miraculous congealed blood of the saint was not realized. Thus, a series of interpretations was reported, including a potential disastrous event that may come this 2017, according to FoxNews.
Such belief of disastrous events, including a potential war or epidemic has been attributed to a previous similar event when the blood of the saint also failed to liquefy. It can be remembered that when the World War II broke out in 1939, the blood of San Gennaro failed to liquify. Most recently, 1980 liquefaction failure was also associated with a devastating earthquake in Irpinia, some 30 miles east of Naples, leaving more than 2,400 people dead.
Under such circumstances, some believers are quick to associate the bad omen as something related to the warnings of the 16th century prophet Nostradamus, especially that most of his predictions speaks of disaster and chaos come 2017.
Express outlined some of the most terrifying events that could potentially next years as what Nostradamus has predicted according to scholars. Based on the report, economic turmoil and crisis will be experienced together with the shift of superpowers. Apart from that, the war on terrorism and global warming will escalate, along with U.S. political crisis as it will become increasingly ungovernable and incompetent in the year that Mr Trump enters office.
That being said, there is still no certainty on the connection between the previous World War II and other disastrous events to the blood of San Gennaro or to Nostradamus predictions. That is why Catholic leaders are calling for the faithful to pray instead of believing on the bad omen and the potential chaos and disaster come 2017.
