The NeoGaft user also pointed out that "Resident Evil 7" will be divided into nine chapters pointing out various hints, clues and walktroughts as to how they will solve the mysteries within each chapter.
However, the most interesting information of the leaked "Resident Evil 7" details is the name of "Albert" in the sequel's story.
The name "Albert" speculated that "Resident Evil 7" could be the staging area for famed "Resident Evil" antagonist Albert Wesker into the game franchise.
One of the files from "Resident Evil 7" is called “LastBossGetAlbert,” which suggests the character’s role in the campaign. Not only could Wesker prospectively be the final big bad of Resident Evil 7, but also there could be an unlockable reward for beating him with the file titled “LastBossFinishGetGun” implying as much.
Nevertheless, it is quite possible that the name Albert could belong to a completely different character altogether since one file suggests the inclusion of a new character named “Eveline Albert.” Not to mention, these file names could simply be misleading, so it’s best to take the information with a huge dose of salt.
There is also hinted that "Albert" could be an alias of someone else as theories suggest it coukd be Al Lester a.k.a the Axe Man from "Resident Evil Outbreak File #2".
Lester lived his life in service to a mutated plant that had consumed his dead wife's body, who at the time contained a version of the T-Virus within her cells. This caused both the plant and Lester to mutate, the former turning into something of mind controlling creature, and Lester became an immortal serial killer, GamesRadar reported.
"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 24, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
