Here are some of the known issues of Google Pixel and Pixel XL

Audio

A few users of Google Pixel have found that the Google Pixel outputs distorted audio when played at maximum volume. At high volumes, particular apps rendered crackling sounds when headphones are plugged in or in loudspeaker mode.

The Pixel XL and the Pixel are affected by the problem. According to reports, the problem could be software-related.

Lens Flaring

Several reports have mourned about the Pixel's lens flaring issue that happens when a bright source of light beams straight at the lens of the camera. Purple, pink or white rings appear near the edge of the frame, even if the source light is not directly hitting the camera.

The search giant has rolled out a camera update that kind of minimized or fixed the flaring effect, but the problem still persists.

Manufacturing Defect

A few units of the Pixel XL and Pixel have been found to have a manufacturing defect that causes a bubble to form under the screen. The bubble appears even when the device is kept in pristine condition, without it being dropped or damaged.

Connectivity Problems

A few owners have reported connectivity problems with the Pixel XL and the Pixel on LTE Band 4, with the devices failing to connect to the band. The software company has since fixed the problem, and many users have said that they are able to connect to the band without issues.

Camera Freezing

Many owners have reported that the camera frequently freezes, whereupon purple and pink lines show up on their screen. The problem appears isolated in the company's preloaded camera app; however, some owners have reported that some third-party camera apps sometimes sport the same problem.

It appears to affect international Pixel devices only, and owners can switch to airplane mode to fix the issue temporarily. The company has yet to roll out an update to resolve the problem.

Nexus 6P Problems

According to a 9 to 5 Google report, there is now a bootloop problem affecting some owners of Nexus 6P who have upgraded to Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

This is not the first time owners of the smartphone have reported a bootloop problem, with the problem affecting some owners when the Android 7.0 N update rolled out, and some owners who were running the Android N Developer Preview.

Reports indicate that the problem was affecting a small number of owners, and that it was a hardware problem. Affected owners have tried wiping cache, flashing older Nexus images and re-flashing images, all to no use.
