"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 cast member Camilla Luddington recently confirmed that the name of her character Jo Wilson's ex-husband will soon be revealed on the show.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Luddington said that if Jo would reveal the name of her husband to anyone, it would definitely be with Alex (Justin Chambers). The couple has shared tons of things with each other, and they were also supposed to get engaged at one point. However, Jo refused Alex's proposal because of a secret that she has been keeping all to herself. When Alex found out that Jo was married and lied to him about it, he just could not forgive her immediately.
Meanwhile, when asked if she already knows the name of Jo's ex-husband, Luddington said that she still does not have any idea. After all, it is not something that executive producer Shonda Rhimes has discussed with her. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Jo's ex-husband will also be introduced in the hit ABC TV series.
In other news, while Jo and Alex's relationship has been struggling, the former has developed a close friendship with another doctor named Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). In the previous episodes, it has been evident that Andrew has developed feelings for Jo. The latter, on the other hand, has kept their relationship strictly platonic.
While speaking with TV Line, Rhimes refused to comment on what will happen to the two characters. When urged to give an answer, the exec simply said that it is still too early to put labels on what Andrew may be feeling for Jo and vice versa. "I think we have all had a chance to watch what has happened between Jo and Andrew. I am not sure that it is mature to put a name on what is going on at the moment," she said.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is currently on a short hiatus. When the series returns, fans will learn whether or not Andrew will drop the charges against Alex.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, episode 10 will air on ABC on Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. EST.
