At last, Mediterranean as Bjorn's fleet unleashes a surprise attack. The promo for "Vikings" Season 4, episode 16 has been released and Ivar can be seen seeking revenge.

The promo shows Ivar declaring that he wants to revenge. The promo trailer also shows scenes from the attack launched by the brothers.

The synopsis reveals that Lagertha continues her quest for power in Kattegat and Bjorn's fleet attacks.

In "All His Angels," it was Ragnar Lothbrok's end as King Aelle announced his execution. Ragnar was put in a cage and tortured, later he was dropped in a pit filled with poisonous snakes.

Showrunner Michael Hirst and actor Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) talked to The Hollywood Reporter about Ragnar's death.

Hirst was asked about killing a major character in the middle of the season.

"This is the saga of Ragnar and his sons, I didn't want to suggest to the audience that the death of Ragnar meant some huge breaking point in that saga, it's just part of the weight. So Ragnar's sons will continue the saga. This isn't the end of Ragnar Lothbrok, Ragnar will live on in his fame. He will live on because he was the most famous Viking of the time. But he also of course will live on through his sons. I never wanted this story to end when Ragnar dies physically," Hirst said.

"Vikings" Season 4, episode 16 airs Jan. 4, 2017 on History.
