Hallyu stars Park Bo-Gum and Song Joong-Ki keep on showing off their exquisite bromance. Recently, the former brought tears to the eyes of the latter during his acceptance speech at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards.
Park, who became a household name after starring in KBS 2TV's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," broke down in tears as he picked up the Male Top Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards on Dec. 31, 2016, Saturday. In his acceptance speech, the Hallyu star admitted that he felt that he was lacking something while filming for the hit KBS drama.
However, constant advice and support from the "Innocent Man" actor helped him overcome all his worries, Park revealed. He then thanked Song for helping him wrap up the iconic character, Crown Prince Lee Yeong.
"I had a really hard time while I was filming this drama, and I couldn't find a balance," Korean newsoutlet Star News quoted Park as saying, as cited by Soompi. "Song Joong Ki understood that more than anyone else, and he gave me a lot of advice, so I wanted to say that I'm really grateful."
Park's emotional speech apparently left the "Descendants of the Sun" actor in tears. Hence, the event's host Jun Hyun Moo teased him for crying too much. Photos from the annual event were circulated on Facebook.
Park and Song are well-known in the entertainment industry for their close friendship despite their 8-year age gap. At the 2016 Seoul Drama Awards, the latter mentioned his interest in working with the former on a television drama in the near future.
"It would be great to play brothers some time or even two guys that fight over the same girl," Korean newsoutlet Naver, as cited by One Hallyu, quoted Song as saying before a group of local media. "Regardless, I would like to work with [Park Bo Gum] in a project."
