As Kurt Angle is set to return to WWE in April 2017, potential comeback fights are already being predicted for the WWE superstar. This article contains five of the most anticipated return feuds for the wrestler in WWE.
Fans last saw Angle wrestle in WWE in 2007. Although there had been rumors in the past about his return, the 48-year old wrestler did not grace back to screen. Recently, Angle has reportedly been declining individual bookings as he is finally coming back to the entertainment company in April 2017.
Angle told The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as cited by SEScoops, that his individual fights with Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes will be the last for 2017 since he is WWE bound by April. With the confirmation coming from the wrestler himself, here are five anticipated return feuds for the WWE superstar, according to Forbes.
Brock Lesnar
During WrestleMania 19, Lesnar and Angle faced each other into what became one of the infamous fights in WWE history. It would be an amazing face-off to watch given that both superstars already increased their star powers over the years, the publication noted. Lesnar releases his incredible power when provoked, while Angle has been named one of the greatest in-ring fighter in WWE.
Roman Reigns
A bout with Romans Reigns is not that impossible as Angle has considered him to be one of the WWE superstars he would like to fight. It would not be impossible for Reigns to face Angle as he has previously challenged Brock Lesnar and Triple H during WrestleMania 31 and 32, respectively.
AJ Styles
Labeled as one of the greatest starts in WWE history, AJ Styles coming face to face again with Angle would be a must-see for fans. Styles, who is considered as the greatest wrestler as of the moment, could potentially give Angle an unforgettable return feud in April.
Rusev
Considered by many as a future main eventer, Rusev could be given a chance to have a main storyline fight when paired with Angle. Although the creative team of WWE is not yet giving a green light for the wrestler to have his break, Rusev has improved his performance in the recent years.
Seth Rollins
Like Rusev, Seth Rollins is just on his way to stardom. The 30-year old already has a record of impressive matches but a fight with Angle could help him advance to a higher level. A battle with an all-time great like Angle in the ring would be a five-star wrestling event.
