Perennial contenders SSC Napoli (10-3-5, 35 points) will look to extend their seven-game unbeaten streak as they meet middling club UC Sampdoria (6-7-5, 23 points) in a 2016-2017 Serie A season match at the San Paolo Stadium on Jan. 7, Saturday.

Napoli has been undefeated since late October when they were nipped by defending champions Juventus in a road game. The team is currently in the third spot of the Italian top flight table, seven points behind league leaders Juventus and three points below second-running squad Roma.
Partenopei is coming off a 3-3 draw with fellow contending squad Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium on Dec. 22 to snap a three-game winning run, as per Daily Mail Online.

The draw snapped La Samp's two-game losing slide as the team is now settled in the 13th place in the overall standings, 13 points above the bottom three relegation area and ten points below the second and final Europa League qualifying berth held by AC Milan.
It was the fourth winless performance in the last six rounds for head coach Marco Giampaolo's squad.
