In the upcoming episode of "The Good Place," Chidi (William Jackson Harper) will be choosing Eleanor (Kristen Bell) to be his soulmate. The decision will be prompted once Michael (Ted Danson) asks him to choose. The question fans may be asking is who Chidi will choose between the real and fake Eleanor.
In the synopsis released for episode 10, Michael will be tasking Chidi to make an important decision. Though details were not yet revealed, it is presumed he will be choosing between the impostor Eleanor and the real Eleanor to be his soulmate.
Moreover, in a promo released by "The Good Place" Season 1B, Eleanor was seen professing her love for someone. Although it was not revealed who she was talking to, Eleanor uttered the words, "Because I love you." The case may be an admission of love to Chidi which is related to the decision he is about to make in episode 10.
Aside from Chidi's decision, Eleanor will also be discovering something related to an announcement Jianyu (Manny Jacinto) is about to make. Jacinto started joining the American fantasy show in March 2016, Deadline has learned.
Executive producer Mike Schur already shared some details in connection to Eleanor's discovery. During his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Schur revealed a surprise coming for fans. In episode 8, when Michael asked Eleanor about her birthday, it was meant to showcase a connection between the show and a different aspect of another different TV show.
"Eleanor's birthday is a little bit of an Easter egg," Schur said. The show runner added he has been waiting for some people to ask him about that particular moment, "That's one that I thought for sure that I would be hearing more about from friends of mine, but no one has brought it up to me yet," he revealed.
"The Good Place" is an American comedy series currently showing at the NBC Network. It is produced by "Park and Recreation" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" co-creator Michael Schur.
