"Dragon Quest Monsters" is a series of popular video games that have been around since the turn of the millennium, with the first game being released back in 1999. Although it was first criticized for its close resemblance with the "Pokemon" franchise games, which were widely popular at around the same time, this series held its own and has evolved to create its own identity with 10 other releases since its debut.
Now Square Enix has announced that it will be making a number of tweaks to the eleventh and latest release in the franchise. The coming update for "Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional" is known as Super Life Fusion Modified and is designed to allow the player's creatures to unleash more power than ever before. Aside from this new feature, the monsters in the game will also be receiving an update, according to Nintendo Everything.
Monsters that are born through Super Life Fusion Modified can reach a level of up to 120. It is by far the strongest method of fusion in the game as it allows for an increased ability to learn skills. This ability starts off as Super Life Fusion, but changes into Super Life Fusion Modified later on in the game, as the player is able to progress through the story, Gematsu reported.
The modified variety of Super Life Fusion allows even further growth of monster's capabilities. Also, due to the fact that the maximum cost to learn a special trait will rise, subsequently the number of tactics that the player can come up with increases considerably as well.
In terms of the monsters, there are five classes of them that will be added via the major update. The first is the Darck, which is probably better known as a "collector" monster. Another is the Asura Zoma, which wields the element of darkness and makes use of powerful magic in addition to devastating physical attacks.
Also added in the update to the latest "Dragon Quest Monsters" game are the Semergias, which are also referred to as "the god of battle" and wields a powerful weapon in each hand. The Lord Draco, a powerful dragon, will also be added along with the Baboon Beast.
