Sasuke Book of Sunrise arc has finally come to an end on Naruto Shippuden episode 488, next week a brand new adventure begins with none other than Shikamaru Nara as the main protagonist.
Loosely based on Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness novel, all Naruto Shippuden episodes for the remainder of January will cover the story of Shikamaru's mission in The land of Silence.
Here Are The Potential Spoilers and Preview for the Next Arc:
-Two years after the fourth Great Ninja War, Shikamaru Nara became the chief coordinator of the Shinobi Union, which served as the successor to the Allied Shinobi Forces.
-Shikamaru will be given a mission in the Land of Silence to check on what happened to Sai and his fellow Anbu. He will also be tasked to assassinate Gengo, the charismatic leader of the land of Silence and considered a threat to the current peace.
-Shikamaru will be facing a far difficult foe in this mission. Moreover, his hesitancy to trust anybody with his mission puts himself on the brink of danger.
-Temari and Sai, major characters in the original Naruto series, will have significant roles in the Shikamaru Hiden arc.
Recap of Episode 488: The Last One
-Sasuke discovered Chino as the true leader of the Dark Thunder Group. He also exposed her plot to bring down villages, including the five major villages in the shinobi world. Chino also expressed her despise for Sasuke for being a hypocrite and rejecting the people who loved him no matter what.
-Sasuke decided to have a dojutso showdown with Chino. Chino uses Chinoike's dojutso the Ketsuryugan to manipulate the iron existing in blood at Hell Valley, creating multi-headed dragons. Sasuke managed to dodge all its attack, but was shown caught by Chino's ability to make blood explosive (Human bomb).
-Chino thought he had disposed of Sasuke, but little did she know that she was already caught by Sasuke's Sharingan. Sasuke finally defeated Chino but spared her life along with Fuushin. He also promised her to protect the peace she has been longing for.
-Chino, Fuushin and one member of the Dark Thunder Group served several days in prison before they were freed by the Mizukage on a condition that they'll spend their life working for Kirigakure. The two also met Naruto, who learned of Sasuke's great deed.
-Naruto had a discussion with Sakura about Sasuke being a great role model. Sasuke then received a letter from Naruto acknowledging his accomplishment. Finally, Sasuke decides to return home in Konoha after years of wandering around the Shinobi world.
-Contrary to the novel, En Yashiro was revealed as the father of Chino and remaining member of the Chinoike clan. Years ago, he decided to purge his clan to prevent them from hatching up a revenge plot against Uchiha and stop the bloodline of hatred.
