The phenomenal pop singer Katy Perry will soon bring her much-anticipated global tour entitled “The Prismatic World Tour” to her Chinese fans.
Kicking off at Guangzhou's International Sports Arena on April 18, the singing sensation's tour will also take place in Shanghai, Taipei and Macao.
According to her tour presenter, AEG Live, Shanghai concert tickets were immediately sold out; hence, the organizers decided to hold another show in the city.
Perry said that she is excited to perform before the eager Asian crowd at some of her favorite places. She is also looking forward to stage shows at sensational places she has never been to.
The pop icon is known for her hits such as "Teenage Dream," "Roar," "Dark Horse," and "The One that Got Away."
"The Prismatic World Tour," the third concert tour of the American singer, is held in support of her fourth studio album, "Prism." The worldwide series of concerts started on May 7, 2014, in Belfast, Northern Island, and set to conclude on Oct. 12 this year in Puerto Rico.

In 2014, Pollstar also reported that the tour was the fourth bestselling tour globally. It topped the list in the solo female category with gross revenue of $153 million and 1.4 million attendees.
In the same year, Perry's tour bagged the "Top Package" award in the Billboard Touring Awards. It was also nominated for the "Concert Marketing and Promotion" award.
