In the previous episodes, J'onn discovered that M'gann exists. When he tried to make friends with her, the latter refused by saying that she could just bring him danger. J'onn did not listen, and he and M'gann were pitted against each other. The former was heavily injured, but they still tried to stay amicable.
The following episode showed J'onn visiting M'gann at the bar only to realize that she informed her peers that there is another Martian living in the city. J'onn was captured and was physically assaulted, but in the end he still survived.
When M'gann apologized to J'onn for what he did, the latter immediately forgave her. In fact, he also encouraged the former to no longer be involved with the bad crowd and instead to work with him and his team. M'gann agreed, so the second half of "Supergirl" Season 2 will see the Martians not only working together, but also possibly falling in love.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that there is some exciting stuff for both Harewood and Leal in Season 2B.
"His relationship with M'gann is an important one over this next batch of episodes. There is some really great stuff for David and Sharon that we are really excited about. We love Sharon's performance and we love seeing David and Sharon together, it is some of our favorite stuff this season. We have been really lucky with our romantic pairings this season and we really think that J'onn and M'gann have a great storyline coming up," he said.
Meanwhile, Kara aka Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Mon-El's (Chris Wood) relationship will also be explored in "Supergirl" Season 2. The two characters have become extremely close during that latter episodes from 2A.
While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Ali Adler said, "We will explore more of that relationship. Kara still has to figure out what she feels about him."
"Supergirl" Season 2 will return to The CW on Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. EST.
