Samir Nasri was one of the brightest football prospects in recent memory. He was a pivotal part of a highly talented Arsenal squad from 2008 to 2011. Because of his exceptional level of footballing talent, including great dribbling and passing abilities, he was able to make a big money move to Manchester City.
After around five years with the Sky Blues, Nasri has recently experienced a drop in form, which led to a loan move to Spanish side Sevilla back in 2016. After putting in a number of stellar performances for Sevilla during their recent outfits, it seemed as though Nasri was on track to be an important first team player for Manchester City when he returned following his loan spell. However, he may now face a ban that could last up to four whole years.
Liga Santander - Spain's premier football league, which Sevilla participates in - has a break period during the winter. Nasri took this time to go to California in the United States to get some much needed rest and relaxation. While on break, Nasri also decided to go and visit a therapeutic center, which offered an alternative method to replenishing his energy after a hard fought stint of the current season. Nasri got more than he bargained for; however, when it was revealed that both he and the therapy center he hired - Drip Doctors - are now facing doping allegations, Sports Illustrated reported.
Not only that, but Nasri has now also found himself in the middle of a libelous scandal, involving the woman who performed the IV drip procedure on him. The woman involved in the scandal is no less than the founder and CEO of Drip Doctors herself, Jamila Sozahdah. It is being debated whether Nasri's Twitter account was hacked or if he posted the now-deleted, libelous tweets himself.
"This week, Ms. Sozahdah was dragged into an unfortunate incident involving libelous accusations sent on the hacked social media account of Samir Nasri, after administering a standard treatment on the soccer star," Doctors said in an official statement released to USA Today and other news outlets. "Ms. Sozahdah would like to address head on this unfortunate incident of cyber-bullying: all Drip Doctors services are professional health services, administered by a professional team, and all insinuations otherwise are nothing more than libelous attacks," they added.
