On Sunday, Jan. 7, Apple aired a new commercial ad of the latest iPhone 7 Plus, which highlights the exclusive Portrait mode feature. The ad focused on the ability to take compelling photos similar to the high-end DSLR camera.
The new commercial, titled "Take Mine," delivered the knack to a "bokeh effect," which the main focus of the image remains clear and sharp while the background is synthetically blurred. This new feature on iPhone 7 Plus helps create a professional-looking portraits.
The commercial ad of Apple iPhone 7 Plus begins with a young woman arriving in Greece and using her Rose Gold iPhone 7 Plus to snap a photo of her grandmother in the Café. The woman uses iPhone Portrait Mode to focus on her grandmother and blurred the two women in the background using the Depth Effect. After taking the photo, the grandmother exclaims that it is a great photo.
Subsequent to taking snaps of her grandmother and the people in the Café, the woman goes on a whirlwind tour taking photos of the villagers. She starts taking an exquisite depth-of-field photography from the local mailman to a local fisherman and all framed in a sharp focus. "Portrait mode on iPhone 7 Plus - practically magic," the Apple's ad ends.
Apple first revealed iPhone 7 Plus in September, while the Portrait Mode on iPhone 7 Plus together with iOS 10.1 was first launched in late October 2016. The Apple's commercial series for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus also started in September. Apple plans to revamp Portrait Mode to 5.5-inch iPhone 8 which will be launched this year.
