The NBA trade rumors continue as another team decides to hold a fire sale in order to acquire a star.

After the Atlanta Hawks decided to strip their veteran core, the Denver Nuggets are also considering moves that could clear their veterans and form a new team for the future.

The report from ESPN writer Marc Stein noted that the Denver Nuggets are now ready to trade their veterans.

"Denver engaged in serious talks to acquire Millsap last summer and is known to be interested again, alongside Toronto and Sacramento. (The Nuggets, for the record, are now openly shopping third-year big man Jusuf Nurkic in addition to the widely assumed availability of vets Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler)," Stein reported.

This is all for their bid to try and acquire Paul Millsap or possibly DeMarcus Cousins. However, the Hawks are reportedly asking for a "quality first round pick" for their prized All-Star forward even if he's an impending free agent. The Nuggets own pick will drop once they get Millsap-they are likely to become a playoff team by then.

The Nuggets also have the first round pick of the Memphis Grizzlies who sport an even better record than their own. They may have to outbid the Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson package that they ask from Toronto.

Meanwhile, former Knicks Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler could be on the way back to New York if the Knicks would seek to trade for them. This was insinuated by Maxwell Ogden of the Daily Knicks.

The Knicks need scoring and Gallinari used to be their first option before they traded for Carmelo Anthony, as Ogden pointed out. "Gallinari is one of the prime examples of gifted players who got away from the Knicks, which makes him an undeniably attractive option."

Chandler was an original Knicks draftee. He could work well with Derrick Rose as Ogden noted. "On offense, Chandler is a respectable 3-point shooter who can play above the rim. He doesn't have the most polished of handles, but he's a productive scoring threat on an affordable contract with $36 million coming his way between 2016-17 and 2018-19."

The question remains on how the Knicks could acquire these players. The Knicks own their first round pick but they have to draft for another team because they already traded their first round pick for 2016
