Mac products would see future upgrades as Intel announces new 7thg Gen Kaby Lake processors as part of its CES announcements. Kaby Lake chips were first officially launched on August, and having lists of products introduced the company's new chips.
New processors are making their way into both the future of apple products in Mac desktops and MacBooks. The new processors include 7th Gen Intel Core chips from 4.5W-91W, 7th Gen processors with Intel Iris Plus graphics, processors with Intel vPro technology, and Intel Xeon processors for mobile workstations.
It is said that the new chips would deliver performance unlike before, with an increase of 20 percent from its gaming notebooks and 25 percent for desktops performances. 4k and 360 degree content would be an aspect in this enhancement and an expectance of 65 percent faster performance in notebooks would occur. Enhanced security, new media engine, and improvements in VR and gaming are all its advertised features.
According to, MacRumors, the 28-watt U-Series chips which was recently announced would be appropriate for 13-inch MacBook Pro, and could see 7267U/7287U/7567U in the machines this year. Intel's 45-wwatt H-Series chips are also appropriate for future 15-inch MacBook pro update, while top of the line MacBook Pro would use the 7920HQ rather than the ideal 7700HQ. Another update would be on the 27-inch iMac, with it shifting to the S-Series desktop chips (7500/7600/7700K) than the previous Skylake chips.
Furthermore, 9TO5Mac reported that new low-powered U-Series chips would be suitable for future MacBook products while H-Series chips were built for high-performance laptops. Y-series chips are also made for future iMac and other Mac Desktop upgrades. Kaby Lake's previous releases and these new chips would support Thunderbolt 3, while the Y-Series and U-Series chips notably put focus on increased performance and battery life.
Meanwhile, since Kaby Lake chips are clear upgrades for the iMac and MacBook Pro, it is suggested that we will see refreshed iMacs in spring and MacBooks in fall.
