The WWE Royal Rumble 2017 will give some of the most intense matches this year. After all, the first pay-per-view for the year will become the stage that would pave the way to Wrestle Mania.
According to Forbes, there are a number of potential huge bouts that the Royal Rumble PPV will set up. One of these is the match between The Undertaker and John Cena, as it could have the potential to be as explosive as the most recent Goldberg-Lesnar match.
The reason behind the potential bout between the two fighters is that the Undertaker has announced his participation to the Royal Rumble event while Cena is facing AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. With this, it provides the perfect stage for the Undertaker vs. Cena match at the Wrestle Mania 33.
As can be remembered, Cena is at 0-3 against Styles in the recent PPV matches, and now can be the perfect time for the former to defeat the latter. What this means is that Cena will win the WWE Championship.
The Undertaker, on the other hand, will most likely win the Royal Rumble, as it is difficult for him to be defeated. In fact, the legendary wrestler has rarely lost a match, regardless of whatever match he plays in.
Furthermore, there has been rumors of Cena and Undertaker having a bout planned back in Wrestle Mania 32. Actually, the potential of the fight in Wrestle Mania has been going on for the past couple of years, and with the Undertaker's career winding down, fans may finally see the dream match between the two during Wrestle Mania 33.
In other news, according to Wrestling Inc, Cena created some online buzz recently. He posted a photo of the New Japan Pro Wrestling star Kenny Omega on his Instagram account. It might be a means of riling up fans for his own amusement, but it might be a challenge of some sort.
